no work history

I am a recent graduate from Valdosta tech, and have run into a problem with getting hired. my problem was that I didnt have recent driving experience, and i was told i needed to take a refresher course. Well, now I have invested money and time going to school again, and the new problem is that I have been doing odd jobs for the last 5 or 6 years, and cannot verify employment. I am really angry and depressed at this obstacle. anyone know a good company that will hire a highly motivated and capable driver, and will pay at least 30 cents a mile?
