the waiting game

i think the worst part of this job is the hurry up and wait game. i am sittin in foreston,il. waiting to get a load of eggs.i have been here for 4 hrs and im beginning to thing the chickens must have gone on strike

My turn to wait today (Tuesday). In VA at the end of a 600 mile run, arrived near receiver (McLane in Fred. VA) at noon, but appt is for 23:00. It's raining, no truckstops nearby. And of course every available parking spot will be full once I empty ... and to top it off there is no pre-plan (usually is) and I just came off a re-start early Monday morning. Talk about a waste of available resources.

But, this doesn't happen often here so I deal with it in stride when these occasions do occur. At least here between DC and Fredericksburg, VA the 4G data is good and there's plenty of TV channels that are mostly locked in good.
