I'm new, not a trucker YET, but want to hit the road with a trucker and learn to drive. I've been reading about the challenges of being in a truck together 24/7, and the challenges of seeing each other rarely and worrying about - or worse, finding out about - cheating.
OK, it begs the question; what about a relationship in which honesty is of higher value than monofidelity? The challenge of remaining faithful when temptation occurs, when it's been a LONG time, would be less of an issue if both people said, "I'd rather you just be honest with me, so tell me about any partners you take when we're apart and we'll agree not to hold it against each other."
Yes, I KNOW that's damn near impossible for the vast majority of people! I'd like to hear from anyone who has given it a shot.

`I was in a open relationship for 8 years and the only way it works is to set ground rules and stick to them ..see for me I dinnt take it as a green light to ---- any thing with a heart beat I did not take any time frome her and we talked about it when it did happen ..as time when on it made our love life more interesting and fun ...

| .i have been truckin for 10 yrs and not any other industry has a brotherhood like trucking. i would'nt change if i had to and we get bad rap all the time. sure some suck but majority of us are pros. i enjoy what i do and and want somebody to share my joy. |

the present I run Texas.I love my job,would like to fine

`I don't understand how anyone has the time for any extra curricular activities. For me, it is a job, I do my job, and then go home, going on the road is not an opportunity to look for someone. I have driven for 19 years, have been single the entire time, and never found anything on the road I ever wanted to take a chance with.
When I was involved in a relationship, I just stayed away from any temptations.
